Henry Lee (he/him) is a US-based multi-hyphenate theatre artist, straddling facilities as a performer, director, designer, historian, scholar, and educator. Credits as an actor/singer include Oklahoma!, The Secret Garden, Seussical (Round Barn Theatre); Guys and Dolls (Battle Creek Symphony, dir./chor. Nicolas Dromard); Tuck Everlasting (Southeastern Summer Theatre, dir./chor. Joe Barros); Pippin, Head Over Heels, Lys, Sunday in the Park with George (Western Michigan University). Immersive productions include Nordstrom Home For The Holidays in Midtown Manhattan (WMC Creative, dir./chor. Josh Walden). In academia, his research areas include the works of Harold Prince and Harry Kupfer in multiple forms of music theatre. His project Lego Broadway Sets was most notably showcased in the exhibition Brick by Brick, Putting It Together: The Broadway Set Miniatures of Henry Lee at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center, attracting both national and global attention. In the music world, he has performed works by composers ranging from Mozart, Borodin, and Bernstein to Colin Touchin and Christopher Tin as a concert chorister in major venues throughout Asia. Lee holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University and continues to study classical and contemporary voice.
